Kyle King

President

Kyle King has been involved in health care leadership for more than 16 years. Joining Adventist Health 2011, he has worked in a number of leadership roles. Most recently, he has overseen operations and market development at Adventist Health Portland. In this role he has been responsible for program growth and development with our OHSU partners as well as service-line development and COVID-19 efforts. He has been highly successful in building physician relationships and service lines to improve the financial viability of the partnership.

Diana Erdmann

Patient Care Executive

As patient care executive, Diana Erdmann is responsible for patient care services provided in all patient care units, surgery, cardiac cath lab, pharmacy and pulmonary medicine, as well as the support provided by clinical information systems and quality services.

Erdmann has served Adventist Health Portland since 2005 in roles like emergency department interim director, medical unit and infusion services manager, and director of nursing. As the COVID-19 pandemic incident command operating officer, she drove the development and implementation of organization-wide processes to ensure safety for patients, providers and staff. In every role, Erdmann has helped her teams perform at high levels and created an environment in which teams take ownership of their best practices and behaviors to ensure success.

Erdmann holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Portland. She is also a board-certified nurse executive by the American Organization for Nursing Leadership.

Outside of work, you may find Diana drinking coffee, savoring chocolate, traveling and watching professional basketball.

Dr. Terry Lyndon Johnsson

Mission Integration Executive

Dr. Terry Johnsson is the mission integration executive for Adventist Health Portland. A Portland native, he has a unique story that took him to Washington, D.C., for a number of years, serving in the U.S. Air Force Presidential Honor Guard at the White House for three U.S. presidents. After serving in the Air Force, Dr. Johnsson went on to earn two undergraduate degrees: a master's degree and a doctorate from the prestigious Wesley Theological Seminary of Washington, D.C., during which time he also became a board-certified chaplain.

In 2014, Dr. Johnsson joined Adventist Health Portland as the director of spiritual care before being promoted to vice president of mission integration. During his time here, he started a non-profit high school mentoring program called Student Healthcare Leaders with the goal to expose high school students to the healthcare world, as well as Adventist Health Portland’s First Friday program. Dr. Johnsson is currently working with his staff chaplains to grow the grief support and Clinical Pastoral Education programs.

Adam Lee

Operations Executive

Adam Lee is the operations executive and brings nearly 20 years of experience in health care leadership, marketing, communications and patient experience to his role.

During his tenure, Lee's has demonstrated a commitment to the Adventist Health mission to lead our organization through these unusual times and beyond. His work in Portland has included building relationships with our partners at OHSU Health.

Lee's 10-plus years with Adventist Health have included working here in Portland as well as at the regional and system levels. Lee holds a Master of Business Administration from Marylhurst University.

Jason Panasuk

Finance Officer

Jason Panasuk is the finance officer for Adventist Health Portland. Prior to assuming this role, Panasuk served in finance roles for both the Adventist Health system and Adventist Health Portland since 2014.

As finance officer, Panasuk leads our budget, productivity, labor management and capital. He also spearheads financial relationships with our provider partners, including Adventist Health, OHSU, insurance payers and governing bodies.

Panasuk holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Dakota. He completed his undergraduate studies at Walla Walla University, where he also served as a certified flight instructor.

Wesley Rippey, MD

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Wesley E. Rippey is the chief medical officer for Adventist Medical Center and is a licensed medical doctor certified by the American Board of Surgery. He received his Bachelor of Science and MD degrees from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1976 as well as completing his surgery residency in 1981.

Here at Adventist Health, Dr. Rippey has been in private practice surgery (general surgery, peripheral-vascular surgery) since July 1981. As well as being a part of Adventist Health staff, he has been a board member of Adventist Health and Adventist Medical Center, a board chair of Healthcare Resources NW, board member of PELC and PLOC, board chair for Adventist Health Portland Foundation and chair of PAG. He has been Adventist Medical Center’s chief medical officer since 2008.

Dr. Rippey and his wife, Penny, live in Damascus, Oregon, where they grow hay and Douglas fir. They have two daughters; one is a registered nurse, and the other is in China for her master's degree in international studies at John Hopkins University.

Shane Voshell

Human Resources Executive

Shane Voshell is the human resources executive for Adventist Health Portland and brings nearly 25 years of Human Resources experience to his role.

During his tenure, Voshell has ably supported leaders and front line associates to foster a workplace culture that aligns to and fosters the mission and values of the organization. Over the last couple of years his work has been heavily focused on leading through the disruptive impacts of the pandemic on associates.

Voshell's 10 years with Adventist Health have included working in local and regional capacities.
