Pharmacy

Clinical pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are an integral part of our hospital team at Adventist Health Mendocino Coast. They round daily with the ICU and med/surg teams, verify medication orders, deliver all medications for patients’ needs, provide valuable drug information, aid in the dosing of medications in complicated patients, monitor patient medication use and help to develop dosing protocols. They prepare and provide Intravenous compounded medications in a certified IV compounding area.

In addition to meeting the needs of our patients staying in the hospital our pharmacy team also provides support to our hematology/oncology department by preparing IV chemotherapy and other IV infusion medications.

The pharmacy department also provides medications for use in our ambulatory care clinics and outpatient cardiology and surgery areas.

Our Critical Access hospital participates in the 340B prescription drug program which is a vital lifeline for safety-net providers, supporting critical health services in our communities.
