Linda Givens

Administrator

Linda Givens serves as the Administrator of Adventist Health Howard Memorial overseeing the hospital and clinic’s organizational side of every health service offered. Previously Linda served as the patient care executive for Adventist Health in Mendocino County overseeing quality initiatives, all nursing practices, infection control, pharmacy and anesthesia, for all three hospitals.

Linda comes to us from Walla Walla, Washington, where she served as the chief nursing officer for Adventist Health Walla Walla General Hospital. Linda has many years of experience in nursing and nursing administration, beginning on the Medical/Surgical Unit at Walla Walla General Hospital in 1981. She transitioned into the Intensive Care Unit in1981 before shifting into a new role in the Emergency Center in 1984. Givens advanced into Coordinator of the Emergency Center in 1998, and just a few years later also held oversight on the Intensive Care Unit. When the Chest Pain Center opened on the medical campus in 2014, the Cardiac Cath Lab team was also brought under purview.

Givens holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washington State University and a masters in nursing from University of Phoenix. She is passionate about critical care, population health and shared nursing governance.

Amy Buckingham

Patient Care Executive

Amy Buckingham oversees nursing practices, quality, safety, and infection prevention initiatives for Howard Memorial hospital. Previously Amy served as Emergency Services Director overseeing the Emergency Department and Respiratory Therapy.

Amy brings a profound clinical background with over 15 years of experience paired with a passion for the hospital’s Planetree efforts of patient-centered care into this role. She is excited for the opportunity to continue to support the Howard Memorial team and is looking forward to working with each department, providing compassionate care that focuses on the continuous improvements of the patient experience.

Amy graduated from Western Governors University with a mater’s degree in nursing leadership and management and was a part of the first graduating class of the Mendocino College nursing program. Holding numerous professional certifications as a nationally certified emergency nurse, trauma care, emergency nurse in pediatrics, neonatal resuscitation, is certified in clinical incident stress debrief management, sexual assault forensics for both adults and pediatrics and is BLS/ACL/PALS certified.

Amy is incredibly proud of the amazing work being done in the hospital and is looking forward to continuing this important work with the entire Howard Memorial team.

Jeff Mock

North Coast Service Area Financial Officer

Jeff Mock serves as the North Coast Service Area Financial Officer for Adventist Health overseeing finance for six facilities— Ukiah Valley, Howard Memorial, Mendocino Coast, Clear Lake, St. Helena and Vallejo. Previously Jeff oversaw finance for systemwide post-acute enterprise and finance leadership for ancillary services. Spearheading the valuation of existing and new system business ventures and playing a pivotal role in fostering trusted clinic partnership, he undoubtedly brings much leadership to attribute to our communities.

Jeff is passionate about healthcare, keeping care local and close to home for our rural communities as we build a better tomorrow for our families, friends and loved ones.
