Help your heart heal

When you've had a heart attack or other type of significant heart event, cardiac rehabilitation is essential to your recovery. This specialized rehab can stabilize, slow or even reverse the progression of heart disease and reduce the risk of having a recurring cardiac event.

The cardiac rehabilitation program at Adventist Health Glendale is proud to provide this supportive care program for patients with heart conditions. The program is conveniently located on our campus.

Your bridge to a healthier heart

The goal of a cardiac rehabilitation program is to strengthen your body after the following events:

  • Heart attack
  • Coronary bypass surgery
  • Coronary stenting
  • Implantation of pacemaker/automatic implantable cardioverter defibrillator (AICD)
  • Heart failure
  • Heart valve replacement or repair

A cardiac rehab exercise and education program can also develop muscular strength, which directly influences daily function and balance. As an added benefit, patients form their own support network as they exercise with others who have also experienced cardiac recovery.

Our services

To use our state-of-the-art facility, patients will need an appointment and a referral from a physician. An initial interview will be conducted with an experienced registered nurse evaluates your needs and recommends a program tailored to your goals.

In addition to personal, supervised exercise sessions, the cardiac rehabilitation program at Adventist Health Glendale also offers nutritional counseling, resistance training/stretching and personal education on healthy eating, stress reduction, quitting smoking and other topics for patients.

Our equipment includes:

  • Treadmills
  • Airdyne exercise bicycles
  • Elliptical machines
  • Universal multistation weight machines
