340B Prescription Drug Program

The 340B Prescription Drug Program supports our role as a safety-net provider in offering vital healthcare services in the communities we serve. The program is only for hospitals that provide a high level of services to low-income individuals or serve isolated rural communities. In 2022, Adventist Health Glendale provided:

  • 3.4million from 340B savings
  • 19million invested in the community
  • 64Million spent on supplemental Medicaid and Medicare
  • 4.5million provided in uncompensated care

Adventist Health Glendale is a 515-bed acute care hospital serving Los Angeles County.

The 340B program has allowed us to develop programs for those who cannot afford prescriptions. Some of these programs are:

  • Financial assistance for patients who can’t afford prescriptions
  • Medication, supplies and transportation assistance for medically indigent and homeless patients
  • Providing transportation to those in need to appointments, health education classes and support groups, serving 4, 475 patients
