2022 CNA of the Year: Mohini Nair, CNA
Aug 11, 2022
When you work on a team, nothing means more than having a teammate who always jumps in to do the hard work without complaint. “Mohini is always looking for ways to do more than is required,” says Diane Saur, RN, surgical short stay unit nurse lead. “She is never still, and she is aways willing to help with even the most difficult task.”
Even better, Mohini approaches her work with compassion and a smile on her face. No matter the situation or patient, she is committed to making the best atmosphere for her patients, as if they were her own family.
That same care extends to her co-workers. Even after transitioning from fifth floor to the surgical short stay unit, Mohini has volunteered to work in her old unit when they need help. She also continues to train nurses new to the unit about its unique protocols and requirements.
“Mohini has a unique gift of building unity through teamwork while at work,” says Sarah Vernier, RN. “She is always willing to jump in and help. She does so with a smile on her face and pep in her step.”
CNA of the Year is an award given to an individual who demonstrates professional excellence, outstanding commitment to mission and a spirit of service through the course of their work. We are pleased to name just such a person, Mohini Nair, as this year’s recipient of the award.
