Accredited by The Joint Commission
Adventist Health Columbia Gorge as earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Hospital Accreditation by demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. The Gold Seal is a symbol of quality that reflects a healthcare organization’s commitment to providing safe and quality patient care.
We also earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Home Health Accreditation and Laboratory Accreditation.
The Gorge’s only NAPBC-Accredited Breast Center
Our Breast Center has been continuously accredited since 2009 by the American College of Surgeons’ National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). This is the only NAPBC-accredited breast center in the Gorge. Accreditation ensures Gorge patients have access to the highest-quality breast care without having to leave their hometown.
Accreditation is only granted to breast centers that provide comprehensive, compassionate care. Adventist Health Columbia Gorge was the first hospital in Oregon to earn accreditation.
We are also certified as Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence (DICOE) by the American College of Radiology (ACR) in:
- Digital mammography
- Stereotactic breast biopsy
- Computed tomography
- Breast ultrasound

The only ACR-Designated Lung Cancer Screening Center in the Gorge
Adventist Health Columbia Gorge is the only American College of Radiology (ACR)-designated lung cancer screening center in the Gorge. This elite distinction is awarded to facilities that meet the ACR’s high standards, including image quality, procedures and follow-up care like counseling and smoking cessation programs.
Five Star Patient-Centered Primary Care Home
Family Medicine, Internal Medicine and Pediatric programs have been awarded five-star designations in Oregon’s Patient-Centered Primary Care Home program. The five-star rating is the highest available designation and is given only to those institutions and programs that meet the topmost of rigorous standards.
Sleep Center Accreditation
Our Sleep Center once again earned a full, five-year accreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the gold standard by which the medical community and the public evaluates sleep medicine facilities.
Recognized for Diabetes Health Education Services
Our Diabetes Self-Management Education Program has been awarded continued recognition from the American Diabetes Association. Programs that achieve recognition status have met the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education Programs and have knowledgeable health professionals who can provide state-of-the-art information about diabetes management for participants.
