Spiritual Care
Adventist Health Castle places a strong value on treating the whole person. While people might not come to us with questions and thoughts about spirituality, healthcare issues often cause them to stop and reflect on different parts of their life experience.
This is where the Spiritual Life Department can be of value to you or to a family member during challenging times. If you need to sort through issues in your life, our associates are more than happy to listen quietly and thoughtfully or refer you to one of our chaplains. We are trained to listen, encourage questions and assist you in your search for meaning during times of stress and hurt. We value these times of meaningful conversation with you and provide confidential discussion and dialogue.
Chaplains’ hours and contact information
A chaplain is available Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. After 4 p.m., a chaplain is on call to assist with emergencies throughout the night.
To contact a chaplain, please call the operator at(808) 263-5500, or simply dial “0” from within Adventist Health Castle.
A bereavement guide
The death of a loved one brings profound sorrow. Grief affects our daily lives, mind, body and soul. Grief can be frustrating, painful, difficult, scary and lonely. We sometimes find ourselves not knowing what to do following such a difficult time or where to look for support.
This free downloadable bereavement guideserves as a resource to many of the technical aspects that lie ahead and aims to help ease administrative matters.
