Adventist Health Castle has been verified as a Level III Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) on trauma and the Hawai‘i State Department of Health. The achievement recognizes the trauma center's dedication to providing optimal care for injured patients and delivering 24/7 comprehensive emergency services. The elevated designation affirms Adventist Health Castle’s services meet national standards for exceptional trauma resources.
Every second counts in an emergency
Trauma patients can be transported to and treated at Adventist Health Castle within the so-called Golden Hour, those first 60 to 90 minutes that are so critical to preventing death and preserving brain function, heart muscle and, ultimately, the patient’s quality of life after recovery.

We have a team of board-certified specialists for emergency and trauma situations
Adventist Health Castle’s multidisciplinary trauma team includes board-certified specialists in emergency medicine, anesthesiology, trauma surgery, orthopedics, cardiology and neurosurgery, specialized nursing staff, radiology, lab, intensive care and physical rehabilitation, all working together using proven treatment protocols that comply with the standards of the American College of Surgeons, the national organization that oversees the verification of trauma centers across the U.S.
