Crispy Cauliflower Nuggets

Cauliflower Nuggets are an easy and healthy meal that the whole family will enjoy. This recipe was served to kindergarten through 5thgrade students when Chef Nina competed in the Food Literacy CenterVeggie of the Year challengeand the kids loved it!
Crispy Cauliflower Nuggets
Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients
- 1 pound cauliflower florets
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup water
- 1 ½ cups panko breadcrumbs or homemade bread crumbs
- 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast flakes
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon ground paprika
- ½ teaspoon sea salt
Preheat oven 400°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Place cauliflower florets in a bowl and set aside.
In a small bowl, mix all-purpose flour, water, and seasonings, and whisk well. In another small bowl, combine breadcrumbs and sea salt.
Dip cauliflower florets in flour mixture and then coat in bread crumb mixture and place on a baking sheet, repeating until all florets are coated.
Bake for 30 minutes, turning halfway. Serve with ranch dressing, ketchup, barbecue sauce or hot sauce.
