  • Adventist Health Sonorawelcomed their first residentsto the Rural Family Health Residency Program in partnership with Hanford, designed to provide resident physicians with comprehensive training and guidance from experts with real world experience in rural healthcare. As part of their hands-on training, residents will provide primary care services alongside an attending physician.

  • Adventist Health Glendale'sFamily Medicine Residents contributed valuable research at the annualSoCal Research Symposiumhighlighting 28 case studies on topics ranging from emerging AI technologies to insulin protocols and more.
  • Adventist Health Simi Valleyexpanded access to preventative care services to reduce the need for emergency visits and celebrated the Nancy Reagan Breast Center’s30 years of compassionate careto over 10,000 women experiencing breast cancer. The Center also offers free mammography services to the Free Clinic of Simi Valley, which provides medical care to individuals and families in need, regardless of their ability to pay.
  • Adventist Health White Memorialcelebrated the graduation of 28 Physician Residentswho have made significant contributions to the Los Angeles community over the past several years.

  • Adventist Health Portlandhosted a weekly summer produce stand in partnership with Outgrowing Hunger to connect the community with local, immigrant-grown produce, providing healthy food access with culturally relevant options.
  • Adventist Health TillamookTillamookintroduced a health literacy campaignin partnership with the Tillamook County Wellness Access to Care Committee aimed at improving awareness, provider relationships and health outcomes. Tillamook Bay Community Collegebroke ground on its new healthcare education buildingon June 21, 2024. The 28,000 sf building will include a state-of-the-art teaching lab for the new Nursing program as well as a lab for EMS. Significant progress is being made toincrease the amount of affordable and workforcehousing with 54 planned affordable housing units (60% AMI) and 34 planned workforce housing units (<120% AMI), as well as 24 completed low-income housing units (<30% AMI). Tillamook County leaders approved an ADU Ordinance to allow construction of ADUs in unincorporated rural residential areas, exclusively for long-term rentals.
  • Adventist Health Columbia GorgecoordinatesServing Oregon’s Migrants by Offering Solutions (SOMOS), a partnership with local orchards and community health organizations to provide essential health screenings and resources to migrant farm workers. SOMOS screened 123 people with 34 employee volunteers and transformed health check-ups into festive community events three times this summer.
